| My Time is Still Coming... Ugh. Thats the best way to describe my state of mind. Im still in early labor....so no, I havent had baby yet. But pray I have him this weekend! Larry has a job now! (YAY!) I am so proud of him. But he starts Thurs. And if I dont have baby before then, I may have to drive myself to the hospital! Haha...we havent figured out a plan yet, were really asking the Lord for baby to come before Larry goes to work. After 9 months of having Larry at home, it is going to be SUPER weird not having him here. But I appreciate so much the time we had. We never got sick of each other, we enjoyed each other's 24/7 company (yes, its possible), and Elijah thrived most of all. But boy is it time to have an income! But please, please pray baby comes today! | | |
| My Time is Coming... So Ive been in early labor for the past week. Yes, for a week. It started when I caught a stomach bug last thurs from Elijah (and we have no idea where he got it), and got dehydrated really fast. Which brought on labor. I was only 35 weeks, so it was premature labor. We finally decided to go to the hospital because I couldnt drink water fast enough, and my contractions were 2-3 min apart, and I couldnt talk through them. By the time we got there I begged for an IV (never in my life thought Id do that) and so they finally did. But my contractions werent slowing down. I came in at 2cm, and was progressing half a cm an hour. So they admitted me, feeling I was gonna have the baby. It freaked me out because they talked about having the NICU come talk to us because baby was going to be premature. After laboring all night, 12 hours or so, the contractions spread enough that my midwife said I could go home to labor. I left the hospital almost 4cm. They said well see you in a couple days... Over a week later, here I am, still babyless. Which is good, because now Im almost 37 weeks, full term! Baby would be fine to come out now. Which it looks like might be happening. Although Ive been contracting consistantly for the last week, things are picking up now, getting more painful. But my mom is out of town, and both my sisters are sick with strep throat. Which means there is no one to watch Elijah. Which means hes coming to the hospital with us, will stay until he wont be able to stand it anymore (which isnt long for a 2 year old), and then Daddy will take him home, and Ill have to give birth by myself. I never thought it would be like that! But I never imagined both my sisters would be very ill with the same thing at the same time, while my mom was in Las Vegas at a concert (but shes been planning that for forever!) So lets see what the Lord brings! It should be interesting, no matter what happens. My next post will be pictures of the new baby and a birth story! Please pray for us! | | |
| In the Kitchen...
I always bring Elijah in the kitchen with me when I cook...he loves it! Its so cute. He'll pull up a chair, climb up, and watch me as I cook. Ill always give him a bowl and spoon so he can "help" me, and whenever there is really something he can do, ill let him do it (yes, thats a apron...so what).

So, since hes been such a good boy, and Id rather him being able to play instead of watch, we bought him a play kitchen...oh man, its all hes played with!

Watch out Emeril, Elijah Chu is in the kitchen!
Oh yes, and I had to put a brag out there about Larry...hes lost 30lbs in 2 months! Good job honey!

And you wonder why Elijah is so handsome =)
| Happy New Year...a little late So the new year has come and gone quite quickly, hasnt it?? Now I only have 6-9 weeks left before baby in my tummy comes out...and we have been getting ready. We took our first Bradley Method class last night, and loved it! Its supposed to help me give birth unmedicated...which I really want this time since my birth last time was all medicated, and I dont remember much of it *sigh*. So this time we will be more prepared! Since I havent posted pictures in...well, forever, I finally uploaded them for your viewing pleasure:

This was Elijah's second birthday! My mom threw him a party...complete with a "Cars" cake...his favorite movie, btw.
This is Elijah next to our Christmas tree...I think he likes it =D He helped me decorate it (and didnt even break a bulb).
He's taking a break from programming on mommy's computer.

Isnt he just precious???
TOUCHDOWN! Seriously, when we say touchdown! he raises his hands and says "DEM! DEM!" (yes, it sounds like hes saying a bad word...)
He always plays with the "mimi" in mommy's tummy, and happily gives kisses.
Ok, this just seems random, but as I was eating some beans and rice, right before I took a bite I saw this bean SMILING at me from my spoon! It is seriously the cutest thing...should I ebay it? =D Thats all the pics I have for now...but Elijah is such a good little boy...no terrible twos in sight! He is very understanding, obeys us, communicates like a little adult (although some of his words might not be understandable, its obvious hes communicating some deep thought...haha), and is easy to laugh and keep us laughing! We definitely delight in him, just like the Lord promised =D
| Merry Christmas! Thank you Lord for sending your only Son to us, and that we can celebrate His birth today! I bet he was the cutest little baby too =) We just got back from my parent's house. Our whole family always gets together on Christmas Eve for a party of sorts, and this year we had a white elephant gift exchange instead of spending lots of loot on each other. Each couple only bought one gift, then we pulled numbers, and in the order picked a gift from the pile or each other. It was super fun! But we were still allowed to go nuts on the babies, since there are only 4 so far. And can I tell you, Elijah made out like a bandit! He has so many new toys, he got tired of openening presents after only three. Haha, so Larry and I got to open lots of gifts, then just give it to him. He loved all of them, my fam really knows what he likes, its cute. Lots of learning toys, and his eyes were so big looking at it all. Its so cute! I wish I had pictures from last night, I need to get them from my sister. Until then, here is the picture of our tree:
Haha....Merry Christmas!
